Who is Charles and Carrie?

Charles played by Hugh Grant, is a British man who is afraid of commitment. He dates but never wants to settle down and commit to a relationship. This starts to change when he meets Carrie a American women played by Andie MacDowell. They meet at a wedding and spend the night together, but then she leaves back to America and he does not see her in a couple months where they meet at a wedding once again. Charles seems to be very interested in having a relationship with her but he finds out she in engaged. Eventually she gets married and he is a guest, at the wedding one of Charles' friends dies and they see each other once again at the funeral. Finally after a long time he decides to get married to an old girlfriend but he changes his mind when Carrie tells him that she is divorced. He calls off the wedding and later that day he tells Carrie that he loves her, and by the end of the film they are married and have a child.
