In the film Charles has a group of friend who always accompany him to the wedding. His sister Scarlett and his friends Tom, Fiona, Matthew, and Garret. They are all single except Matthew and Gareth who are in a relatioship. The other three seem to have trouble finding the love of their lives as well, but they are not like Charles who is afraid of commitment they just have not fing the right person. Later in the film we find out that Fiona has been in love with Charles for quite a while but he never looks at her like a couple just as friends. The funeral is actually Gareth's he dies at Carries first wedding. He was the cheerful one who was always laughing and supported everyone. I believe his deaths was the main cause everyone decided to really start looking for their husband and wife because they realized that life was too short.
